This Space of Acknowledgement welcomes Native American culture onto the University of Idaho campus by presenting traditional art forms from the Nimiipuu tribe. The main room is used as a gallery space to display art made in the tribe’s traditional form. The other 2 rooms, which resemble traditional Nimiipuu pithouses, are to be used to make artworks that could be shown in the gallery and holds the information necessary to make them on the walls. This ensures that everybody who enters the building is equipped to make their own art piece. In doing this, a strong part of the Nimiipuu culture can endure.
